American soldier

a. this is the picture that is the most powerful to me bc it shows you how war really is with bombs going off a lot and the fear on their faces that they could die at any moment .

b. the images work together to tell a story by being in a story line like training then way then seeing your family etc.

c. the captions Enhance the pictures by giving them a lot more details and information about what is happening.

d. ians life: he graduated high school and went straight into the army having to leave his family and friends then he went to training and started causing problems within the group. then he started doing very well and he started to fit in with everyone else.  he got a couple injuries but fought through them. he went home to his dads and him and his girl friend broke up and he using a bunch of drugs that his dad is concerned about. he gets another girlfriend but he feels ass though he's not fitting in with any group of people and he is sad about it.  then he gets baptized and then he was late and turned himself in for a drug problem and he dropped a rank. after he gets back from Iraq he moves up a lot and he gets married to his girlfriend and he seems happy.

e. the very are usually written in present tense to make it seem more realistic.

f. the captions explain whats happening in the pictures and how Ian is feeling at that moment.

1. The photoshop changes that were made were that they lowered her eyes, made them bigger her lips bigger, raised her eyebrows, made her neck skinnier/longer, made her face skinner and made her forehead smaller.


2. some changes made were that they made her legs longer, her skinner nostrils get smaller, lips fuller  pretty much made her look like a doll they schnauzers her skin color and hair color and made her feet smaller etc.


3.the model was changed from being a food to turning into a human being which is scary because the picture was so realistic and it makes you think about what are all the pictures that are photoshopped.


4. no because the viewers that see the picture might not know what they actually look like and they could possibly get insecure about how they look because they think that is normal.

5.yes if the photoshop makes you look different other than lighting and colors and smaller touch ups then it is very ethically wrong to change someone's appearance with photoshop because it would influence other people.

6. changes that are okay are things like colors, lighting and small changes. then changes that aren't okay are changing it to a point that that the model is unrecognizable and an how there bodies look.

7.the difference between fashion photography and photojournalism is that fashion photography has a lot of altered images and they don't stay ethical that much and pj is where they don't really alter the images and they have a lot of captions.

8. the difference is that only the bases of the model stay the same most of the time.

9.i think you showed these videos to show us how extreme photoshop can get and how much it can change the model.

10. the models aren't guys because guys don't get as much photoshop and they girls get photoshopped a lot to meet standards.

1. this picture caught my eye because the height of it is scary and how many people are on the object.

2. They men are 69 stories up and they are casually sitting on a skyscraper crane. they are eating lunch and talking with a little bit of smoking.  this picture was taken in New York 840 feet about Manhattan

100 top photos-Famine in Somalia

1.this picture caught my eye because it shows how hard life can really be and something else that I saw that caught my eye is that the guys back left in the picture you can see all of his bones and he is super skinny.
2. in Somalia the conditions are really bad and they have feeding centers for people who cant get food the girl laying in the wheelbarrow his being taken to a feeding center. this picture makes me feel very lucky because I don't have to wonder when I am going to eat and if a will starve to death.

4. the photographer is James Nachtwey went went all the way to Somalia to take this picture from the US.  he was injured in a grenade attack while working in Baghdad, he made a full recovery.

this picture catches my eye because it reminds me of real pain to think that has this kid gone through.

what first caught my eye about this picture was the glass because its going through the triangle and you wouldn't expect that in a picture also because the glass has such a clean cut so it stands out very well. another thing that stood out to me is the egg on the pointed edge of the triangle. I'm surprised that it can balance and thats what caught my eye In tis picture.

I see one big onion, three small one and one medium on. I also see two peppers, the textures I can see are the onions skins and the dust on the bell peppers.

I smell the gross smell of onions and the bitter smell of bell peppers.

I hear the crunch of the bell peppers when you bite into them.i also hear the cutting sound when you cut an onion.

I taste the gross and bitter but also sweet taste of the bell peppers. also the gross and  sour taste of onions.

I feel the skins of the onions and the dirtiness of the bell peppers also the wrinkles.
