aperture, shutter speed and ISO

1. the part of body that you focus on is your eye.
2.darker the picture is, brighter the picture is
3.The aperture affects the depth because if you have a higher aperture then the depot field should be shallow and then the other way around with low aperture.

notes.
shutter speed affects the brightness of your photo and and the   freezing action/ burring motions

ISO
1. the advantage is that the darker it is the brighter the picture will show up.
2. the author suggested not to you low ISO bc it added noise and graininess
3.the author suggested to use a high ISO when there is low lighting

photo manipulation and ethics

  1. some main points that I saw in the article were that you can manipulate the photo and change it how ever you like but with some jobs you can't use photoshop because if its for news than thats fake news.
  2. the philosophy of the Washington post is that you aren't allowed to have and manipulation and color change.
  3. you can change the lighting a little bit but putting someones else's face on a photo is overstepping it and that is unethical manipulation.

this picture to me is unethical because the photographer changed the girls face and also changed her teeth completely. the reason why I thought this was so unethical was because it looks completely different to me.

5.
this picture to me is the least unethical because all the photographer did was change the filters. they didn't change the picture dramatically, they just added word and a filter.

Academic Shoot reflection and critique.

1. I think that the main challenge I encountered was trying to find a good class to shoot in, and some of the people would want to be in the pictures and it was annoying.
2. I would try to focus on one subject and it took time that I didn't have.
3.not being as shy as I was, and getting more pictures of labs.
4. take the same types of pictures and focus on one type of object.
5.rule of thirds because its he easiest or simplicity because its easier to find certain object you can get alone.
6.lines because there aren't that many lines to find at the school.
7.lines and framing because its complicated rules.

academic shoot.

 1. the rule I followed was rule of thirds because the main focus of the picture is the dice and the cards and that are on the side of the picture.
2. the subject of the picture is the game that the kids are playing a game about enzymes and the non-enzyme version.
3.yes it is clear that you are looking at a game in a science class.
4.I could've gotten the words of the cards and take a picture of of the subject the game was on.

1. I don't think this picture has a rule.
2. the subject is the fire and the class is a science class (I'm not sure what type of science class).
3. yes it is clear that they are in a science class doing a lab.
4. I could've gotten a better picture/angle.

1. this picture has the rule of thirds.
2.the subject is a class pet that you get to keep for a couple weeks and then you send it back and get a new one.
3.it isn't that clear that that this is in a science class]
4 I could've gotten picture of farther away.

Paul Outerbridge

Paul Outerbridge

Paul Outerbridge is my favorite photographer on the list of people because he does really unique photos and he has a really weird but great theme and my last part is his pictures are all in color.

prompt photo shoot.

I chose this picture from the list of people because the photographer has a theme with eggs and the pointed triangle object.

I chose this picture because it shows how peoples life were actually like back then and how hard it actually was.
I chose this picture because the frame is unique and and the picture is very beautiful.

Favorites

Favorites

1.I chose this picture for one of my favorites because it looks like there is a very important meaning.
2. this pictures rule is the rule of thirds.

1. I picked this picture because I'm in color guard and its a really high quality picture.
2. the rule of photography would probably be rule of thirds.

Filling The Frame

Filming The Frame

I chose this for Filling The Frame because the picture has a lot going on but its beautiful. There are about 7 trees and there are a bunch of stars. There are different colored stars, yellow/gold, light blue and silver. Then the picture is taken on a hill.

The best story

The Best Story

I chose this picture as the best story because there is a little girl and she has a very sad expression on her face. She is looking at a old man that was or is probably in the military and I think that he is telling her his story because she's crying and the military can give you really bad PTSD.

Emotion and action

Emotion or action

I chose this picture for the best emotion or action, because everyone is clearly very upset. Also everyone is in dark clothes and their expressions are very sad. They also have umbrellas which means it is probably raining and rain goes with the emotions sad or angry.

post shoot reflection

1. some challenges I faced were finding the right angel and new stuff to shoot from last time and how I could improve the pictures.

2.The technical part of shooting I was thinking about most was framing and focus because at first our camera couldn't focus on anything.

3.The way I adjusted was that I changed my angles and the object I shot to fit the topic.

4. I would say that in the shoot I only really took lines, and a simplicity picture, I wished I used more.

5. Yes because they are creative but simple and easy.

6. Angry, rust and nature are some prompts id like shooting.
